I contend that because life is a process, there is always a need for a network of care in one's life. As long as the process of life is predictable, the network's membership and their roles are also predictable. It is in the unpredicted transistions, the sudden death of a close friend, the loss of a job, filing for bankruptcy, or even the winning of the $385 million dollar Lotto where the network of care becomes a tool for not only support and help, but for personal survival. This is what I know for sure about Networks of Car
Networks of Care may be known as family, support groups, or gangs.
Membership works best when it is allowed to be fluid, adjustble, and changeable
Once the purpose of the network has been served, it will change to accommodate the next transition
Having a personal network of care is NOT self-serving
A personal network of care will serve best when the anchor asks for help for a specific deed
Networks of care are a vital part of transitions. Transitions are a part of life. Life is a process
